Announcing the much-anticipated 16th world premiere in the company’s history, the Santa Fe Opera will debut this haunting and beautiful opera “The Thirteenth Child” written by brilliant contemporary composer, Poul Ruders. Performances run from July 27th through August 21st. Check out the preview here!
A rarely heard gem of an opera, JENUFA is a an incredible story of complicated family ties, the mysterious birth of a child, and long-last redemption — brought to life by genius Czech composer, Janacek, and his eccentric orchestration (and gorgeous harp part!). Known for the one and only CARMEN, Bizet strikes again with another glorious opera: The Pearl Fishers! Featuring a beautiful bromance, love triangle, and gorgeous score including TWO harps, Pearl Fishers is sure to be a highlight of the summer! Bring Kleenex!
Arguably one of the most beautiful Romantic Italian operas EVER written, Puccini tells the tragic love story of our favorite characters from Bohemia, circa late 1800’s in Paris. With incomparably beautiful melodies, brilliant orchestration, a fabulous cast and a VERY juicy harp part, La Boheme is not to be missed!!! Twelve performances will run from June 28th to August 24th!
